What to Expect When You Request Services

I will review your submitted form within 3 days and reach out to your contact email to confirm details and schedule interview date.
During interview we will discuss the needs of the project, delivery date, format of edit (MS Word/Track Changes or Google Docs), payment, and communication during the edit. Following this interview, you will recieve an email summarizing our agreement.
I will send you an invoice via Paypal, based on our agreement during the interview, payable within 15 days, and you will send me the materials to be edited.
Once you have paid the first invoice and sent your materials, I will begin my edit, and check in as often as agreed or if I have any additional questions for you.
I will send any final invoices once I complete my edit, but before sending final feedback.
After you pay the final invoice, I will send my final feedback letter/style sheet and schedule the follow-up meeting for any final questions.
During follow-up I will answer any lingering questions you have to the best of my ability and you will have the opportunity to submit feedback or a review on my services.

I am open to most genres, but I am not the best fit for the following:
Hard Sci-Fi, Military, Crime, Christian, and Erotic fiction, as well as Nonfiction.

I reserve the right to refuse service I feel I am not a great fit for.

Sample Edits

Interested in my services, but want to try before you buy? I will perform a sample edit for my Developmental or Copy edit for free, where I will evaluate the first 10 pages (12pt TNR, double-spaced with 1-inch margins) and write up a brief summary of my thoughts so you can decide if you would like to move forward with my services. Time frame may vary based on my availability. Please visit my contact page and send me a message to request a Sample Edit.

Payment Options

Half of the total payment will be due after the pre-edit interview but before beginning the edit, and half will be due upon completion but before final feedback letters are sent and follow up meetings are had. Clients who wish to pay in different installments, please inquire during the pre-edit interview.
All payments will be invoiced via PayPal, payable within 15 days of receipt. Invoices not paid within 30 days will be subject to late fees.

Statement on AI

Under no circumstances will I accept work that has been written using generative AI or machine learning tools. My services are intended to assist authors and writers whose work is their own.
